Schneider Electric Padlocking Device, Yellow, Set of 2 - 26970
Safely lockout a circuit breaker when you're doing maintenance work with this padlocking device from Schneider Electric. It's able to secure a circuit breaker in either an open or closed position to prevent operators from accidentally activating power sources. For improved safety, the device is electrically isolated to minimise the risk of accidental shock to operators. It has no effect on the tripping ability of a circuit breaker, so an electrical circuit is still able to safely break if a fault occurs.
Features & Benefits
• Wide operating temperature range of -35°C to +70°C for use in challenging environments
• Free of toxic heavy metals that are potentially harmful to people and the environment
• Light weight of 23g so adds no drag on circuit breakers
Applications
• Power generation plants
• Automated manufacturing
• Lighting and security systems
Where can I mount this padlocking device?
This padlocking device is designed to be mounted on the front of a circuit breaker.
What is a circuit breaker?
A circuit breaker is a safety device that protects an electrical system from damage caused by overcurrent or short circuits. It's crucial in a power system as its ability to interrupt abnormal current flow helps prevent the risk of fire or damage.
